With many in the Christmas spirit, this part of the calendar is often deemed the most wonderful time of the year.

The players in Pittsburgh see things in a similar light, as they wanted to reward QB Mason Rudolph for coming in and performing so well.

But according to Rudolph himself, he won't be forgetting this gift anytime soon:

No Re-Gifting Needed

While Christmas Gifts in your late 20's probably lose some of the luster compared to the ones in your pre-teens, something tells me Mason won't be forgetting this gift for a long long time.

Stepping in on relatively short notice, with the season hanging in the balance and less than 48 hours before Christmas day, Rudolph used some of his Holiday magic to not only put on the best performance of his career but of any Steelers QB in the past three years.

“I'm just grateful to be back on this team this year and to have an opportunity to play a game,” Rudolph told reporters after the game. “That’s all you can ever ask for. Just thankful to God for giving me — orchestrating it the way he did and blessing me and us with a great performance. Just a special night.”

So bravo to Rudolph, he proved me and many others wrong on Saturday, showing that his detailed preparation and days of discipline paid off when it mattered most, and in spectacular fashion just in time for the holiday season.
