The Pittsburgh Steelers vowed that changes were coming in 2025.

Steelers Hire Gerald Alexander as DB coach, interview Scott McCurley for LBs coach
The Steelers named Gerald Alexander the team's defensive backs coach.
Alexander is no stranger to the Steelers coaching staff, having spent two seasons (2022-23) as the assistant defensive backs coach with the team, before leaving to become the safeties coach for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024.

Alexander is far from a bad hire. He's been coaching for over a decade, and he was the DB coach for the Miami Dolphins when Brian Flores was the head coach and they had one of the better units in the league.
But the Steelers knew that now former DB coach Grady Brown had an expiring contract, and they let him walk. Brown is sure to find a job soon, as he has favor around the league and was even the defensive coordinator at the 2023 Senior Bowl.
It marks the second big coaching departure this offseason, only the first has yet to be filled. That would be linebackers coach Aaron Curry, who last I checked, helped revitalize the group in 2023 with new guys like Cole Holcomb and Elandon Roberts, before coaching Patrick Queen to his second Pro Bowl and guiding rookie Payton Wilson in 2024.
Curry took a job with the New York Jets a few weeks back, and now the team is reportedly interviewing to find his replacement…
The Pittsburgh Steelers are beginning in Dallas Cowboys linebackers coach Scott McCurley to interview for the same position on their coaching staff, a team source tells Steelers On SI.

So it's not exactly the change that many fans were looking for, and while it's far too early to pass judgment, these moves could come back to do more harm than good for the Steelers.
