The Pittsburgh Steelers have been waiting on the return of one of their best players: WR Diontae Johnson.
Johnson took a big step earlier this week, and now per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, he is officially back:

Johnson has been out of sight out of mind since Week 1 when he suffered the hamstring injury that added injury to insult vs the 49ers and placed him on the injured reserve.
Johnson told reporters that he felt much better last week and was aiming to be ready to go out of the bye. We then received positive news in his return when the Steelers opened his 21-day practice window on Monday.
And now it is official, as Johnson is set to return against a Rams team that outperforms expectations.
Pittsburgh has undoubtedly missed DJ's route running and separating skills, something likely to be on full display this week against the Rams' secondary.
Muth Takes His Spot
Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, its not all good news in the 412. The return of Johnson is imminent, but so is Freiermuth's trip to the injured reserve. He will miss a minimum of four games.
Its rough not only for Pittsburgh but for Freiermuth, seeing as he is in his third year and only has one year left on his rookie deal.
Hopefully, he can rebound down the stretch if and when he returns using that momentum to catapult himself into a prosperous 2024.
