There's no such thing as closed doors in the NFL.

Leaving on good terms is always grounds for a reunion, especially given the fluid nature of NFL rosters.

The Pittsburgh Steelers just proved as much with the signing of safety Eric Rowe:

Steelers re-unite with Eric Rowe

The Steelers signed defensive back Eric Rowe to the practice squad.

Rowe, who is in his 10th season, was originally signed to the Steelers practice squad on Nov. 20, 2023. He was elevated for the teams Week 16 game against the Bengals when he had his first Steelers interception, Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks and Week 18 against the Ravens. Rowe, who started against the Bengals, Seahawks and Ravens, had 29 tackles, 22 of them solo stops, an interception, a forced fumble and a tackle for a loss.

A Veteran presence who will log his 10th season in the league if called up from the practice squad, Rowe still had plenty left in the tank the last time we saw him in the black and gold.

A two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, Rowe is precisely what Mike Tomlin values in his defenders. A veteran aura with a tremendous pedigree and football I.Q.

Expect Rowe to excel if called upon against the Cleveland Browns.
