The Steelers weren't even 24 hours removed from their season-ending loss when the floodgates already opened.

Coaches move like the wind in football, jumping at whatever opportunity comes their way.

Pittsburgh Steelers offensive assistant Glenn Thomas just proved as much:

Glenn Thomas to Nebraska

Thomas was hired last season after an extensive career in college football and some NFL experience that included a stint as the QB coach of the Atlanta Falcons.

As for the Steelers, they are likely to clean shop on the offensive side of the ball and Thomas likely knew that, with the decision to return to his roots and pair up with a familiar face and staff being his best bet.

So he did the Steelers a favor as the coming days and weeks will be anything but easy for Pittsburgh. Not only do they have to sever ties with much of the offensive staff, but they are tasked with finding replacements that are upgrades.
