Pittsburgh Steelers on pace to begin training camp in a spot other teams can only dream of

In life, health is wealth. No league embodies that more than the NFL, where availability determines wins, losses, and contracts.
So it's obvious, but the healthier your team is, the higher your chances of success.
And for the 2024 Pittsburgh Steelers, the health of the team is pristine at this point of the year:
Pittsburgh is set to enter training camp in perfect health
"I don't," said HC Mike Tomlin when asked if anyone is slated to start camp on the pup (physically unable to perform) list. Obviously a terffic omen heading into camp and one that many teams would only dream of, Coach T's comments led to questions about how far along LB Cole Holcomb was, especially after a horrific injury and tight-lipped rehab process.
“I’m sure he is (on track for training camp) I don’t have a lot of details about the specifics of it, but at every checkpoint, I think the experts are comfortable with the progress and I know he’s working extremely hard,” Tomlin said when asked about Holcomb's timetable for return.
Omar Khan told 93. 7 The Fan something similar, saying that he thinks Cole Holcomb is ahead of schedule and will see doctors again in July to determine his availability. He hopes that Holcomb will be ready by the start of camp.
The other player on injury watch is second-year CB Cory Trice Jr., who suffered an ACL injury in training camp last year and was unavailable for the duration of his rookie campaign. He has been on the field and working during OTAs and expects to be back in full force come training camp:
“Yeah, I think right now, Cory [Trice Jr.] is just working his way back into getting somewhere close to full strength,” DC Teryl Austin told the media at minicamp last week. “He had a promising start last year until the injury. I think he’s kind of starting to pick it back up in terms of getting closer to where he was and really like how he’s doing. We’ve been really careful with him because we want to make sure that we get him to camp and give him the best opportunity to succeed because we did think that last year he was trending in the right direction.”
In a stacked division and with one of the hardest schedules in the league, Pittsburgh will need that health to carry with them throughout the season.
Steelers GM Omar Khan is living in a world where RB Najee Harris is in Pittsburgh beyond 2024
So you’re saying there’s a chance.
