Adding injury to insult on Saturday, after a lackluster performance against the Buffalo Bills, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been bitten by the injury bug.

First came the news that center Nate Herbig had a serious shoulder injury, of which now is likely to sideline him for the whole year.

Beyond that, however, the latest injury update revolves around RB Jaylen Warren, who could miss the season opener.

Warren Out for Multiple Weeks

“From a health standpoint, Jaylen Warren had a hamstring in-game. I do not know the extent of it, Coach Tomlin said following Saturday's game. "He’ll be evaluated. I’ll have more information over the next couple of days. Payton Wilson was being treated for a concussion. Anthony Averett had a hamstring, as well. Some other bumps and bruises, but I think in most instances those guys returned to play.”

Well, at least for Warren, it seems that he would not have been able to return, and certainly won't be playing in the team's final preseason contest against the Detroit Lions.

RB La'Mical Perine had his best game yet as a member of the team on Saturday, and Cordarrelle Patterson is also in the mix.

Warren is coming off his best year as a pro, one that saw him total over 1,100 yards from scrimmage and four total TDs.
