As we sit only eight days out from the start of the NFL Draft, teams are putting their finishing touches on the 2024 class.

The tape is watched, the interviews are done, and the draft board is likely set for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But for Michigan LB Junior Colson, he had the privilege of being at one of the Steelers' final meetings:

Steelers Meet with Colson

A day after meeting with a second-round target at LB, Pittsburgh doubled down and went back to their Big-10 roots with LB junior Colson.

A well-built player at 6-2 and over 230 pounds, Colson plays with the tenacity and explosiveness that Pittsburgh values from their inside linebackers.

Colson has been compared to Patrick Queen and Willie Gay, two players Pittsburgh was very interested in during free agency. So much so, that they paid Queen more than any other free agent in franchise history.

And while there are proven players behind Queen via Elandon Roberts and Cole Holcomb, it doesn't mean Pittsburgh would be opposed to adding another, and make a solid pairing for the future between him and Queen.
