Pittsburgh will be seeing a lot of former Steelers QB Kenny Pickett should his recent comments regarding his status become true

Somehow, someway, no matter how hard they try, the Pittsburgh Steelers can't escape Kenny Pickett.
After trading him to the Philadelphia Eagles and watching him take snaps in a Super Bowl win, they watched him become a member of the Cleveland Browns a few weeks back.
And if he has his way, Pittsburgh will be seeing Pickett twice a year…
Kenny Pickett is planning to start for the Browns
“That’s the plan, man (to start). I’m not going there to hang out,” Pickett told Jerry Dipaola of Trib Live. “I want to go play. I’m excited, been working hard for it, taking it a day at a time.”
The statement comes from Pitt's recent spring game, just days after the Cleveland Browns brought in another quarterback and familiar face at the position…
Reunion: the Cleveland Browns and veteran quarterback Joe Flacco reached agreement today on a one-year, $4 million deal worth up to $13 million with incentives, his agency JLSportsagency told ESPN. Flacco now will return to Cleveland, where he won the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award in 2023.
Flacco also spoke with the Steelers and Vikings but opted to spend his 18th NFL season with the Browns.

So it's clear that Pickett will have competition. Of course, you cannot rule out a trade for Kirk Cousins, even if that feels like a long shot for the Browns right now.
What's not a longshot is Pickett's odds to start if Cleveland goes into camp with the same QB room they have as of right now:
- Kenny Pickett
- Joe Flacco
- Deshaun Watson
Of course, the Browns own the second overall pick in next week's draft, and they are atop round two. Should they pass on Shedeur Sanders at second overall, Jaxson Dart and Jalen Milroe could be there for the taking.
Kenny Pickett isn't worried about that, however.
“I’m really excited just to get there and get back to competing, get back to playing. Meeting new people, meeting my new teammates, building those relationships. New stop in the journey," added Pickett.
We'll see if that journey includes starting against the team that drafted him.
