In case you hadn't heard, the Pittsburgh Steelers have a game this week, traveling to Tampa Bay to take on the Bucs in their first contest of the preseason.
That means reporters and fans alike are anxiously wondering whether or not Kenny Pickett well play, and just how long.
Well, he played the fence perfectly:
Kenny Pickett: "That's Not My Call"
"Yeah, that's not my call, man," said Kenny Pickett when asked how long he would play on Friday. "I'm on go. Whatever. I'll be in there for as however long they want me to be and when they pull me out, they pull me out. But, you know, I'm excited."
So Pickett seemingly will be out there in live action, but he wisely deflected when asked how long.
For one, it may only be preseason, but he's in no position to give up the game script. Add on the fact that it only adds more anticipation, and this was a heady answer from the second-year signal caller.
It is fairly surprising that Pickett even admitted he will play, but seeing as the Steelers run a more traditional camp, and Pickett is only in his second year, it makes sense to give him a few reps.
And that's what I'm forecasting for Pickett. Maybe a drive or two, with a heavier workload likelier to occur in Pittsbugh's second game before a day off in the third and final game.
The good news is, we're only a little over 48 hours away from the start of Steelers' games, meaning we'll know the answer soon enough.

Certainly a subjective point of view
