The beautiful thing about the NFL is that while you can't always control your own destiny, you can hope that one of your foes takes an L when they least expect it.

And while you could argue that exact circumstance happened when the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, a more helpful scenario occurred on Saturday.

The Houston Texans lost to the Tennessee Titans, helping the Steelers remain firmly in the third seed of the AFC playoff race:

Steelers Remain 3rd in AFC

Despite blowing it against the Browns in an outcome that you could see coming from a mile away, the Steelers have a 94% chance of making the playoffs and a 37% at winning the division.

That was only helped after Will Levis and the Titans upset the Texans in one of the shockers of the week.

Now the focus will turn to Monday Night Football, where everyone with a rooting interest in Pittsburgh is hoping that Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers can take down his brother and the Baltimore Ravens in what is sure to be a highly anticipated matchup to kick off Thanksgiving week.

But for Pittsburgh, the road doesn't get any easier. Up next is a rested Cincinnati Bengals team, who are hanging on for dear life regarding their playoff dreams and aspirations.

That makes Sunday virtually a must-win for both squads.

"Hard fought game. They made more plays over the course of 60 minutes than we did," said Tomlin after the Browns game. "So we have to own our portions of it, particularly early on. I thought it took us too long to warm up to the action. We were penalized pre-snap and just weren't really sharp. We're going to go on. Our guys fought, but it wasn't enough to secure victory. So it's painful, but it's like that in this business. We'll take a look at the tape and learn from it. We have got a big one coming up."
