It's been over half a decade since Antonio Brown last caught a pass for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Since then, the team has come close in finding a dominant force that mirrors his presence, but George Pickens tends to get in his own way far too much.

And with his future up in the air, not to mention the pieces around him, adding another WR in the draft that is the closest thing to AB in a while isn't such a bad idea…

Steelers Select Luther Burden in Round One of A to Z Sports Latest Mock Draft

This was an easy selection for me. Burden is a great compliment to George Pickens, and the Steelers have to get play-making help for their QB in 2025.

Adam Holt, A to Z Sports NFL Draft

Not that anyone will ever live up to the player that Antonio Brown was for the Steelers, and maybe it's the similar color pattern that Luther Burden wore at Missouri, but he and AB share very similar traits…

Small but brawny builds, snappy route running savvy, and the ability to get vertical. Burden might be the best WR in the class, but his down year compared to 2023 has him projected to fall, though the Steelers would be doing no complaining.

Tracks the ball well downfield. Has good body control and can break tackles. Probably best as a slot option. Not a burner but good speed. Would be the go to volume guy for whoever is at quarterback in Pittsburgh.

Getting open is an art in the NFL. Some players do it with size and strength. Others do it with speed and quickness, and the finesse group does it with technique and route running.

Burden cherry-picks from each group to make himself a useful weapon at any alignment and at every level of the field. If the Steelers can make it happen at 21, they could be set for some time at WR.
