Former Pittsburgh Steelers starting center Kendrick Green has had a rough couple of weeks.

After an intriguing start to camp, Green struggled in the first two contests of the year.

Well, Coach Tomlin has seemingly had enough:

"Not Good Enough"

"Not good enough," Coach Tomlin told reporters when asked about Green's snapping. "Routine things routinely is what we expect and there is nothing more fundamental than center-quarterback exchanges."

Saturday marked back-to-back weeks where Green was the cause of a bobbled exchange that turned the ball over. Saturday's turnover gave the Bills terrific field position, of which they capitalized on, helping create a 27-15 final score that made the game seem much closer than it ever really was.

And while the turnovers will kill you, it's not as if Green occasionally makes a mistake. This has unfortunately become a pattern:

Alex Kozora of Steelers Depot would later compare Green's snapping woes to the "Yips," something that is prevalent in Golf and other individual sports or even positions in football.

Basically, it's when you have the ability to make the routine task physically, but mentally you are in your own head, causing issues to arise.

And while only Green knows if that's the case, it sure does seem that way.

Green isn't even a camp battle, and coming into Latrobe, while he was never really going to push to be the starter, Pittsburgh was at least confident they had a suitable backup given Green's starting experience.

But that has likely changed. Green could be snapping for his future not only in Pittsburgh but in the league on Thursday.

Another poor performance could make him force Pittsburgh's hand, releasing him in favor of another center.

Hopefully Green gets right, however, putting the past two games behind him and entering the cutdown date on higher ground, rather than thin ice.
