The hardest part of the Steelers' schedule is officially here.

And after passing their first test against the Washington Commanders, a divisional slate awaits with a huge matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

But if you ask Mike Tomlin about being able to wait this long before a divisional matchup, he could care less:

Mike Tomlin Doesn't Care About the Schedule

“You know I don’t care. I’ll play them whenever they schedule us," said Tomlin when asked about playing the Ravens this late into the year. "We have no control over the schedule. Our goal is to beat everybody. Specifically, week to week, we get singularly focused on this week’s opponent. I’d be making it up if I told you I cared about the schedule or when we face people. I don’t.”

To add context, the initial question was posed as if facing the Ravens after the trade acquisitions, and this far into the season given the rookie class is an advantage, but of course, Coach Tomlin had his traditional style and response.

But that's also the tenor of the Steelers-Ravens. It's a backyard brawl, that will happen anywhere anytime no matter the place, the weather, and the time of the year.

The marquee matchup of the early window, Pittsburgh has a chance to take full control of the AFC North, and stake claim at being a true Super Bowl contender against the Ravens, as they already have an over 90% chance to make the postseason

Can they do it in front of the nation and with a former Steeler out for blood? We'll find out soon.
