The sky has fallen in Pittsburgh.

Another season of the same results, this year's version of the Pittsburgh Steelers take the cake for biggest collapse, dropping five in a row to close the 2024-2025 campaign.

That left many pointing fingers according to RB Najee Harris, though the majority of the team still believes in their head man…

Captains and players stick up for Coach Tomlin despite reports of dysfunction.

Following the 28-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Amazon Prime Video reporter Taylor Rooks shared an interesting nugget from RB Najee Harris regarding the state of the Steelers in recent weeks:

Whatever the case, the team still believes in Mike Tomlin's message, or at least that's what team captain Cam Heyward said when asked if Coach T's mantra had gotten stale in Pittsburgh.

“I don't worry about Mike's message, said Heyward after the game. "I worry about our technique and our execution. That's what I'm really worried about. I just wish we had played a lot better. It's not a message thing, it's not that groundbreaking, but there was opportunities to be had, and we didn't seize anything.”

Not only did the team not seize anything, but they didn't live up to the promise that owner Art Rooney gave Steelers fans last year, and they have questions at multiple roster spots, including the most important, QB

“We all have the utmost trust in Coach T as a leader, as a guy leading us. Utmost trust in Omar (Khan) and the front office and their vision,” TE Pat Freiermuth said after the game. “We just got to get it right.”

“It’s not all on him. It’s the whole team,” Joey Porter added after the loss. “This is my second playoff game. I lost two in a row, so I have to hold that accountability to myself and everybody also got to hold the accountability.”

“Because it’s built right,”2x Super Bowl champion Elandon Roberts said. “The foundation’s right. We’ve got a great leader in Mike T. We’ve got a great front office with Omar. We’ve got a great owner in Mr. Rooney. So the foundation is very solid.”

It's hard to see what the primary sources say and discount their opinion. But the foundstaion at the UPMC complex on the Southside has never felt more shaky,

Maybe the offseason will bring in a stabilizing force.
