For whatever reason, there has been a narrative surrounding Najee Harris' career in Pittsburgh and it hasn't been a pleasant one.
At one point, many in the media and among the fanbase called for his starting job, citing Jaylen Warren as the better back.
All Harris did was go to work, accomplishing something no other back has ever done in franchise history:
Back-Back-Back 1k Yard Seasons
That's right, no RB in Steelers history has ever started their career posting three straight 1000-yard rushing seasons…
Until now.
The accomplishment speaks not only to Najee's talent but his durability. The workhorse has been hot lately, and that was no different in a sloppy game in Baltimore when his team needed him to shine his brightest.
Putting the offense on his back and helping lead the team to victory, Harris accounted for 112 yards rushing and a TD.
So despite all the fodder surrounding him and his future in Pittsburgh after being what some labeled a bust, Najee is having the last laugh.
Steelers lose their best player when they need him most
