Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najee Harris has about the best start to a career that you could ask for.

I know that some like to believe he could have done better, but when you analyze what has been in front of him for the first three years of his career, hitting the 1k mark for three consecutive seasons is very impressive.

And now Pittsburgh knows exactly what it's going to cost if they want Najee to keep pounding the rock for them:

Najee Harris' Fifth-Year Option is Set

Seeing as Harris made the Pro Bowl as an alternate for the 2021 season, he will accrue a total of $6.79 million fully guaranteed at signing should Pittsburgh decide to pick up his fifth-year option.

Which, in my opinion, is a no-brainer. Not only is that a small price to pay even in an undervalued position, but when you consider that Harris has started every game of his career, been extremely durable, is a team leader, and has totaled over 4100 all-purpose yards in just three years…

The Steelers shouldn't need to wait until May 2nd to decide whether or not to accept or decline his option for 2025.
