If we know anything about the Pittsburgh Steelers, it's that they love to draft and develop Georgia Bulldogs.

Whether it be recent additions like George Pickens, Darnell Washington, and Broderick Jones, or greats of the past like Hines Ward.

And while it sure feels like their first-round pick in 2024 is going to be from Georgia, a new report suggests their second-round pick could be a former Bulldog as well:

Steelers Host Ladd McConkey

As reported by Mark Kaboly of The Athletic, the media sensation and draft riser that is Ladd McConkey took an official visit to the southside. That would mark the fourth time Pittsburgh has had a close encounter with McConkey, following visits at the Senior Bowl, NFL Combine, and Georgia Pro Day.

And when you watch his tape and observe his athletic numbers, you see why:

Not only did McConkey wow in the agility drills with a 3.97 short shuttle and a 6.72 three-cone at his Pro Day, but he made a statement on how explosive he is by running a 4.39 40-yard dash and jumping over 36 inches in the vert at the NFL Combine

He's a little smaller than a typical outside WR at 6-0 and 185~ pounds but I personally see a more explosive Diontae Johnson when breaking down his film

The only problem for Pittsburgh?

Acquiring him.

Currently sitting at 33rd on the consensus big board, there is a real shot that McConkey slips into the backend of round one, and virtually no chance that he's there by the time Pittsburgh picks again at 51, meaning the Steelers may have to make some moves if they want to get another Bulldog in their WR corps.
