To this point, the Pittsburgh Steelers had largely been content in meeting with offensive tackles and WRs in terms of their first-round targets.

But per Dale Lolley of Steelers.Com, that changed on Thursday:

Clemson CB Nate Wiggins

The obvious headliner of the group, Wiggins is one of the top corners in the draft and currently sits at 23 on the mock draft consensus big board, though recent developments suggest he could go much higher.

Part of that is thanks not only to his tape but also his pre-draft process which included a mind-blowing 4.28 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine

Wiggins is a little slight for Pittsburgh's liking, at 6-1 but only 173 pounds. For reference, Joey Porter Jr. was around 6-2, 6-3 but weighed 20 pounds more at the leading up to last year's draft.

Part of what made JPJ intriguing was his offensive lineman-level arm length at 34 inches, while Wiggins measured in at 30.

But Pittsburgh's recent acquisition of CB Donte Jackson won't prevent them from drafting another CB high in the draft and could be a look into the future seeing as Jackson was listed at only 5-10, 178 at his combine.

I still expect Pittsburgh to target tackle in round one, but the idea they go away from WR, OT, or CB in the first round is becoming increasingly unlikely, meaning Wiggins has to be a part of their plans, as you never know how the board will fall on night one of the draft.
