It was only a matter of time before the Pittsburgh Steelers' offseason decisions came back to bite them

In their loss against the Philadelphia Eagles, the lack of weaponry in George Pickens' absence leaves many questions about if this team is a true Super Bowl contender.

But following a late-game injury to star defender T.J. Watt, Pittsburgh may have a lot more to worry about:

Mike Tomlin Updates T.J. Watt Injury Status Following Eagles Loss

"From a health standpoint, Justin Fields, man had an abdominal injury. Don't know the extent of that. On that slide, he injured his abdomen. Donte Jackson had a back injury, wasn't able to return, and T.J. [Watt] had an ankle. I think that can be described as a low ankle at this juncture, but I'll have more information for you the next time we get together," said Tomlin after the game.

To make matters worse for the Steelers and Watt, Pittsburgh now travels to take on the Baltimore Ravens in just six days, as they prepare for a rowdy Ravens bunch that looks to avenge their loss from a few weeks ago.

The injury status of George Pickens is still unknown, as many have speculated that he may be held out until the new year when Pittsburgh closes out the regular season against the Cincinnati Bengals.

And if Pittsburgh is down what you could argue is their two best players amidst the toughest stretch of their season, they could be staring a three-game losing streak straight in the face.

But from an optimistic standpoint, if Watt does in fact have a low ankle sprain as opposed to a high ankle sprain, that bodes well for a quicker return to action.

As coach Tomlin said, we will find out more when he speaks to the media ahead of the Ravens game.
