Just when it looked like things were going well for Pittsburgh, the injury bug bites at the worst possible time.

Not only was star defender T.J. Watt in a considerable amount of pain following an awkward landing on his knee but Coach Tomlin's tenor after the game was not an optimistic one.

Unfortunately, NFL insider and ESPN reporter Adam Schefter just added fuel to the fire:

T.J. Watt Beleived to Have Grade Three MCL Sprain

"T.J. Watt went to the locker room and the initial testing showed a grade three sprained MCL, pending further testing in Pittsburgh on Sunday," said Adam Schefter during halftime of Saturday night's Texans-Colts game on ESPN. "And then we'll see if it does confirm the initial diagnosis. Either way, it certainly seems like it's going to be challenging for Watt to make it back for the postseason if the Steelers are able and fortunate enough to get one of the scenarios that they need this weekend."

The scenarios that Schefter was speaking of are well-defined at this point, but no matter how things work out, the odds are certainly stacked against Watt when it comes to playing again this season.

To be frank, Pittsburgh is likely thankful that Watt escaped a much greater injury to the knee, as fear of a torn ligament was certainly high following his reaction and nearly immediate update on Watt, as he was ruled out on his walk to the locker room.

So while the severity of the injury can't be confirmed until Sunday's MRI, things don't look great for Watt and Co. at this hour.
