We are reaching the scary hours of the NFL Draft.

Just eight days remain until night one, and the Pittsburgh Steelers have been one of the teams heavily linked to a first round quarterback.

None have received as much attention as Shedeur Sanders, however, who some believe the Steelers would be willing to move up in round one for…

Steelers willing to trade up for Shedeur Sanders?

“Fact of the matter is, if the New Orleans Saints like Shedeur Sanders enough to take him at nine, they might have been thinking that way anyway with Carr only under contract for one more year, but it does lead an air of intrigue to this 10 days ahead of time. If Shedeur Sanders does not go at nine, if he's still available at 10 or in the teens, watch out for the Pittsburgh Steelers at 21 for the potential to move up," said Dan Graziano on ESPN…

"They had him in for a visit late last week. They're still waiting on an answer from Aaron Rodgers, to whom they've had an offer out for some time. But they know that Aaron Rodgers is not gonna be the long-term answer at quarterback, even if he does sign there.”

Shedeur Sanders makes the most sense for the Pittsburgh Steelers with Cam Ward cemented to the Tennessee Titans. He has the toughness, accuracy, poise, and demeanor that is becoming of an AFC North starter and Mike Tomlin quarterback.

Jalen Milroe would be another name to watch, but the Steelers would like him at 83 before they considered him at 21. So the onus goes back to where it has been all offseason…Aaron Rodgers.

There will be a pressure on the Steelers that they havcent felt since the 2022 NFL Draft if Rodgers doesn't sign over the next eight days. While they have holes at RB, along the defensive line, and in the secondary, none of that matters if you go into the season with Mason Rudolph as your starting quarterback.

Meaning a trade for Sanders is very much on the table in Pittsburgh, and it shouldn't come as a surprise if and when it happens.
