The 16th and final practice of camp, the Pittsburgh Steelers are full steam ahead to the regular season.

Latrobe has been a great process for the Steelers', creating chemistry and forming relationships that will carry on long after their time in the black and gold.

So with that in mind, here are the sights and sounds of day 16 at Steelers camp, including a closure that most teams dream of:

Steelers Leave Camp in Great Shape

Following today's practice, the Steelers have zero returning or projected starters on the injured reserve. But on top of that, the only starter even dealing with an injury was Larry Ogunjobi, but he was out of his boot and walking around just fine.

Something all fans, players, and coaches stay up worried about, Pittsburgh's professional approach and experience saved them from any unnecessary injuries.

Steelers fans hope that continues into the regular season.

Despite all the talk surrounding Kenny Pickett and George Pickens, Diontae Johnson has been a clear winner this camp, and that continued today where he hooked up with Kenny Pickett on multiple deep shots. An expert route runner approaching the prime of his career, expect a bounce-back season from Johnson.

Stop if you heard this Before

The defense closed out their time in Latrobe in expert fashion, winning "Seven Shots" by a score of 6-1 and continuing their domination over the offense.

There are two ways of looking at that. The glass-half-full approach is that Pittsburgh has one of the best defensive units in the league.

The glass-half-empty approach is that Pittsburgh's offense is seemingly still a step behind.

But Saturday's exhibition against the Bills will be a good test, especially when you consider that both teams will be playing their starters. We'll see how they respond, and hope for a continuation of Friday's performance in Tampa.

Need a new Cook?

Steelers offensive lineman Dylan Cook has worked his way from being a camp body, into a swing tackle role in Latrobe. Today he garnered second-team reps at right tackle and also played some backup guard.

A training camp gem, hopefully Cook makes the roster and provides valuable depth down the stretch of the season.

1's and 2's

The final practice of camp provided some clarity at key positional battles, with Dan Moore holding off Broderick Jones at left tackle, Pressley Harvin seemingly having the upper hand over Braden Mann at punter, and Allen Robinson proving his veteran ways have him as the choice over Calvin Austin III in the slot.

We will obviously have to wait until the cutdown date to see Pittsbrugh's official roster and depth chart, but things probably won't be much different than what we have seen over the past three weeks.

And that's a wrap on day 16, and 2023 Pittsburgh Steelers Training Camp. The work is far from done, with Pittbsurgh still having two preseason games and a couple weeks of closed practices before kickoff on September 10.

But the time in Latrobe has come to an end for the Steelers, and it was a fruitful camp in more ways than one. An old-school franchise that still goes away to build team comradery, we can't be certain whether or not Pittsburgh will be great in 2023.

But we know they will be tight and willing to go to war with one another, something you can only build if you run the camp that Mike Tomlin and Omar Kahn do.
