The Pittsburgh Steelers were quiet on NFL trade deadline day.
The team reportedly came close to making a move for a young DB, but no such trigger was pulled.
Here are three Steelers that will feel Pittsburgh's inactivity the most:
T.J. Watt
Watt is largely responsible for multiple Steelers wins this year, putting the team on his back in the Raiders, Browns, and Ravens games to help lift the team to victory.
So maybe some help on the backend of the defense as a thank-you would have helped. You know, adding a corner or a safety so that if by some strange reason he doesn't record a sack, interception, and fumble in one game it's not the end of he world.
Nope, it's still all on you Teej.
Minkah Fitzpatrick
Similar to Watt, Fitzpatrick was the only thing reliable in the secondary before Joey Porter Jr. started to garner actual snaps.
Now the All-Pro is down with an injury, and even when he does return, it will be more of the same, when there were multiple names to be had as trade assets.
Kenny Pickett
Now Pickett isn't the All-Pro that the other two names are, but he's still Pittbsurgh's starting QB and more importantly, could have used some help at the tight end spot with Muth out for the foreseeable future.
