The odds of making an NFL roster as a day three draft pick aren’t great.

Multiply that by 10 and that’s how hard it is to make it past rookie minicamp as only an invite.

But you never know who may catch the eye of the right coach, with these two hoping to do that in Pittsburgh:

CB Marquis Williams

Two things play in Willams’ favor here. For one, he’s a corner. That position can always use depth, but especially on the Steelers current roster. Beyond that, Williams is a former Pitt Panther. That means Pittsburgh already has a good idea on the type of person and player he is, seeing as they share a facility with his Alma Mater.

WR D.J. Powell

Powell also plays a position of need and is a local product, though he formerly played for the Dukes of Duquesne. A few splash plays could have him filling out one of the final three spots on the 90 man roster.
