Steelers sign free agent Nate Herbig to a two-year deal
Pittsburgh signs a player worth his weight in gold.
The Steelers wanted to improve the offensive line heading into 2023 via both the draft and free agency.
They have achieved the latter, as first reported by Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Pittsburgh is signing Nate Herbig to a two-year deal worth $8 million dollars and $4 million in guarantees.
Herbig is a four-year NFL veteran with stints in both Philadelphia and most recently New York with the Jets.
Only 24 years old, the Steelers are attaining a solid player, still well before his prime positional years.
The ties of Herbig and assistant GM Andy Weidl make this an obvious fit, but the large stature and playstyle of Herbig make it a correct one.
