The Pittsburgh Steelers have locked up a veteran for the 2023 season.

Linebacker Jamir Jones signed a one-year deal with the Steelers on Monday.

Jones went undrafted in 2020 out of Notre Dame. After being signed by the Houston Texans that April, Jones was waived in July.

The Steelers signed Jones in 2021. Although he showed some promise and made the 53-man roster, he was waived that September.

Jones would be claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars that year as well but was ultimately waived by both teams.

The 2022 season saw Jones return to Pittsburgh. He logged 86 defensive snaps and racked up 10 tackles but did most of his work on special teams (251 snaps).

Jones will look to make the Steelers roster once again, and hopefully, make a bigger impact this time around.
