Another linebacker is joining the Pittsburgh Steelers through free agency.

Per NFL Media's Tom Pelissero, the Steelers are signing free agent Tanner Muse.

Muse, a third-round draft pick by the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020, spent his rookie season on Injured Reserve with a toe injury he eventually got surgery to repair. He ended up never playing for Las Vegas as he was waived prior to the 2021 season beginning.

The Seattle Seahawks picked him up and kept him for the remainder of his contract. In Seattle, Muse was primarily a special teams contributor, logging snaps 442 snaps in five different units with the majority being on kickoff coverage and kickoff return.

Muse also appeared in seven games for the Seahawks last season on defense. He ended up playing significant snaps for the first time in Week 15, and even started the team's Wild Card playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers. Pro Football Focus graded him out at an impressive 89.0 for that game.

The Steelers will benefit from the special teams help and depth at linebacker after moving on from Robert Spillane, Myles Jack, and Marcus Allen. They've now signed three linebackers to offset those departures.
