The offseason is barely underway (for everyone except for the Chiefs and Eagles), but we've already received one of the best Pittsburgh Steelers quotes of the offseason.
Steelers star pass rusher TJ Watt recently appeared on the AP Pro Football Podcast with Rob Maadi and he spoke about how it's unacceptable that Pittsburgh didn't make the playoffs in 2022.
"With Mike T at the helm, you always feel like you have a chance to win each and every game," said Watt. "And we didn't get into the playoffs this year, which isn't acceptable for the Pittsburgh Steelers from the strong legacy that has been laid from the guys before us. But we finished the season strong still."
"From where we started to where we ended were a big-time difference of a football team and we just want to continue to hopefully be gaining the right trajectory as we go into this offseason and into next year," added Watt.

How can you not love that from Watt if you're a Steelers fan?
It was a trying season for Pittsburgh. But they rallied to finish 9-8 and secure Mike Tomlin's streak of non-losing seasons (16 seasons and counting). With the way the Steelers finished the season, there are reasons for Pittsburgh to feel good about themselves going into the 2023 season.
But that wasn't good enough for Watt. It's playoffs or bust for the Steelers. And that's a great mentality for a team to have. In fact, it's the only mentality that a team should have if they're going to be a championship-caliber franchise.
Watt is clearly going to be hungry going into the 2023 season. And that could be bad news for the rest of the AFC North.
