The Pittsburgh Steelers may be tied for the most championships in Super Bowl history, but the trophy case is a little dusty these days.
Pittsburgh hasn't been to a Super Bowl in 15 years and has either missed or lost in the playoffs for the past six seasons.
Well, one Steelers All-Pro has had enough, with his concern all about getting the Lombardi back to the 412 in 2023:
T.J. Watt Has His Eyes On A Ring:

During a recent interview with CBS Sports, Steelers All-Pro pass rusher and former NFL DPOY T.J. Watt was asked about his goals for the 2023 season. Watt was clear in his intent, saying:
"Getting into Year 7, you're just trying to get to the Super Bowl," answered Watt. "I've played in three playoff games and haven't won a single one, so that's a big issue. That's probably goal No. 1 is just to get into the playoffs and win a playoff game and just go from there…
"…I'm not about the individual goals anymore. I've set myself up nice where I've been having a good career but it doesn't matter if you're not winning games when they matter most. I think that's objective No. 1, for sure."
And while Watt is far from selfish (who remembers the contract extension scenario) he has accomplished just about all you can as an individual defender in the NFL and he's only 28 years old.
But he knows that legacies go beyond personal accolades, especially in the city of Pittsburgh. Watt will always hold a special place in the hearts of Steelers fans, but while in the midst of his prime, a championship would make him iconic in Pittsburgh lore.
And something I have been pushing this offseason is that the narrative that Pittsburgh "needs time" couldn't be further from the truth. Everything they have done the past two seasons (including the selection of Kenny Pickett) is aimed at the goal of winning now.
The defense is special, with the potential to have three future Hall of Famers (Watt, Heyward, Fitzpatrick) all in their prime, even if Heyward is 34 now. And yes I realize that the NFL has become an offensive league, and that's where the questions lie for the Steelers.
But good luck winning in the playoffs even in 2023 without a pass rush, something that the past five Super Bowl champions had in droves.
Pittsburgh has the potential to be better in that department than all of those teams, making Watt's goal seemingly attainable. And we know how motivated Watt will be coming off injury, meaning it's up to the offense to help turn his goal into reality.
