Pittsburgh rookie wide receiver George Pickens and rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett appear to be building a great connection together.
The duo didn't put up insane numbers in the Steelers' 24-17 win against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night, but they provided one of the best highlights of the night.
Pickett put this back shoulder throw where only Pickens could catch it. And Pickens made an incredible adjustment on the ball to reel in the pass.
After the win, Pickens praised Pickett's "swagger", along with his hair.
"He's always had that swagger," said Pickens. "You see the hair. He already got the swag, he already got that type of competitiveness."
The 2022 season hasn't gone as planned for the Steelers — a lot of that has to do with the terrible offensive play calling by offensive coordinator Matt Canada — but we're starting to see Pickett and Pickens develop a nice connection.
Pittsburgh isn't that far away from being a threat in the AFC North. The Steelers have talent on both sides of the ball. They just need to make some tweaks (like replacing Canada with a competent play-caller) and they'll be right back in the mix in the division.
