Terry Bradshaw had some choice words for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers back in the spring. In fact, he told Rodgers to “go chew on bark” as part of his message on wheter or not the Steelers should pursue him.

But Bradshaw liked what he saw on Sunday, and he’s had a bit of a change of heart when it comes to Rodgers. . .

“Looks like it was a good move for Pittsburgh signing Aaron Rodgers,” said Bradshaw. “We’ll see as the season progresses. I don’t think Aaron played poorly at all. I never have thought that. You give him time and some weapons and they could be something special.”

Terry Bradshaw changes his tune on Aaron Rodgers

“That’s a joke,” Bradshaw said of Rodgers to the Steelers on 103.7 The Buzz in Little Rock, Arkansas (via Pro Football Talk). “That is just to me is a joke. What are you gonna do? Bring him in for one year? Are you kidding me? . . . . That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there.”

One thing about a results driven business, is that when the results are there, nothing else tends to matter. I don’t think that Terry Bradshaw suddenly had a change of heart. I think he, like the rest of Steelers fans saw the offense look the best it has since Big Ben was throwing to Antonio Brown.

I think he saw a soon-to-be 42-year-old quarterback complete 73 percent of his passes and throw for four TDs, looking closer to an MVP candidate than someone with one one foot in his football grave. And if you listen to Rodgers, he sort of new this was coming, as he extened an invite to Bradshaw back in training camp. . .

“I’d love to get to know Terry on a deeper level and I feel like if he gave me a chance to get to know him then we’d have a good friendship because for me I have nothing but the utmost amount of respect and deference for what the greats have done because they laid the foundation for us to be able to play in this great game,” said Rodgers. “Maybe we can go chew some bark or whatever the hell he’s talking about together.”
