What it means
Isaac Seumalo was on the NFI list for the past eight days of camp. He made his return in a non-padded practice on Thursday, and Broderick Jones was alongside him. The more continuity that the unit can build, the better.
Jonnu Smith looks like a supercharged WR, and he plays like one. He had a great rep Wednesday against DeShon Elliott, and he beat Juan Thornhill today, with things getting chippy between the two of them, helping set the tone for the rest of the day.
There is no one on the Steelers’ offense or possibly on the roster in general that Pittsburgh wants to be better than Roman Wilson. He can unlock another dimension of their passing attack, and by stacking days like Thursday, where he’s beating the top perimeter corner on the team, he’s one step closer to doing that.
Aaron Rodgers and Will Howard were on another level on Thursday. Rodgers had his best day yet by all accounts, and a 55-yard TD pass to DK Metcalf is used as evidence. Will Howard didn’t do too bad on his own, tossing a 75-yard TD pass to Roc Taylor.

What it means
Have a day, Darius Slay. The 34-year-old free agent acquisition looked like he’s still in his prime as he batted passes away left and right on Thursday. As for his comrades in the defensive backfield, they were batting more than just passes.
Miles Killebrew made an interception off a tipped Mason Rudolph pass, but Juan Thornhill and Jonnu Smith got into a scrap multiple times, with Thornhill ultimately having the last laugh after ending the match with a win.
Things were a little more intense between newly signed safety Chuck Clark and DK Metcalf, however, as Metcalf was visibly upset after Clark threw a punch.
It’s reached that point in camp, folks.
