Every team in the NHL had done something the Preds had not: won a game in overtime or the shootout.

Monday night in Philadelphia that stat was shoved aside like a shootout attempt at Pekka Rinne. Preds win 2-1. Ryan Ellis snapped a puck past Flyers' goalie Steve Mason in the first round of the shootout and that was enough. Rinne denied every Philadelphia shot and everyone rejoiced.

Monday was also a big night for Filip Forsberg. The Preds young star has been struggling to find the back of the net all season long and came up big with his fourth goal of the season. With just over eight minutes remaining in the third period, Forsberg planted in front of the net and got just enough of the puck to deflect it past Mason to tie the game at 1-1.

Forsberg's moment came in the middle of the Predators' annual Fathers Trip with all the dad's traveling on the road with the team. The young Swede had some fun with Preds reporter Lyndsay Rowley about what his dad would think of his game-tying goal.

The Fathers Trip rolls on Tuesday night in New Jersey against the Devils.
