The Las Vegas Raiders just agreed to a contract with one of their rookies to have them on the books for the next few years.
The Raiders and Florida linebacker Amari Burney agreed to terms on four years, $4,005,116, and $165,116 in signing bonus, per A to Z Sports Doug Kyed.
Here are the base salaries:
2023: $750,000
2024: $915,000
2025: $1.03M
2026: $1.145M
Burney played 55 career games in five seasons. He’s projected to be the third or fourth linebacker on the depth chart behind Robert Spillane, Devine Deablo, and Darien Butler. Burney does have a chance to climb up the depth chart if he can display the coverage skills he has from previously playing as a defensive back in college.
