The Las Vegas Raiders are in injury limbo. They have 18 players on their injury report, and, for some reason cannot seem to get healthier, but it's actually getting worse. And, the injury to Christian Wilkins, the second-best defensive player on the team and the third-best player on the team, certainly did not help.

Wilkins is out indefinitely with a Jones Fracture, which means he could be out for some time. With the injuries they already have going on, it was safe to say the Raiders were going to bring someone else in to help their depth problem.

So, they did, and it just so happened to be a familiar face who was just on the team before the season started.

According to the Raiders PR Team, the team started by placing Wilkins on injured reserve and signing defensive tackle Marquan McCall to the practice squad. Then, they signed defensive tackle Zach Carter to the practice squad and signed Matthew Butler to the active roster from the practice squad.

Butler was a fifth-round (175th overall) draft pick by the Raiders in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has played in eight games for the Raiders in two seasons. It is fair to say he hasn't really gotten as much of a chance as he would like.

But, now with the injuries the Raiders have, and them bringing back a familiar face onto the active roster — a guy who knows the Patrick Graham defense, maybe he can get more opportunities and help this team.

They needed help against the Denver Broncos. Now, they will definitely need it against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
