The Las Vegas Raiders got one steal in the draft, even during an era where they haven't been very good at drafting.

The Jon Gruden era of drafting was one of the worst we have ever seen. They missed out on several first and second-round picks. Missing out on one, that happens to every team. But there is a streak the Raiders had of missing out on guys in the first round during Gruden's regime. Ket's hope Tyree Wilson isn't another one added to the list.

But, one guy they did get right was Maxx Crosby, who has been an absolute dawg, as they say, in the league the last few years. Last year, he was one of the best defensive ends in the league. Had his defense been good around him, he may have been up for the Defensive Player of the Year award.

ESPN recently ranked the biggest draft steals of the last decade, and Crosby made the cut. Here is what ESPN said about Crosby:

Drafted: No. 106 in 2019 (Las Vegas Raiders).
Career stats: 229 tackles, 37.5 sacks, and seven forced fumbles in four seasons.
Crosby had just one offer to play college football out of high school and signed with Eastern Michigan, where he was a two-time first-team All-MAC performer. A one-game suspension in college, a frame that scouts thought lacked power, and a missing suddenness element to his game caused Crosby to slip to the fourth round, but he turned in a 10-sack debut season as a rookie and has been among the most productive ends in the league since the Raiders turned in his card. — Miller, ESPN

Crosby is the best player on the Raiders' defense and will continue to be until further notice. He is the leader, and where he goes, the defense goes. He has a chance to be a Raiders legend if he continues to do what he has done for the last few years.

Maxx Crosby disrespected by national media once again

The Las Vegas Raiders received a few selections for the Associated Press All-Pro team this week. Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams, and Daniel Carlson all got nods for league's best. Somehow, one of their best players got snubbed, though. Maxx Crosby did not get selected as one of the team's edge rushers. Crosby was one of […]
