The Las Vegas Raiders defense has now won two of the three wins for the Raiders, which is sad to say. You see guys like Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams on the other side, and it's supposed to be the offense that carried this team.

However, the defense has stepped up big time. They literally won the game for the Raiders against the Patriots. The Raiders hadn't scored 20 points all year, and who better to score those points than the defense, as they sacked Mac Jones for a safety.

The Raiders needed that defensive boost, and they got it. Crosby went nuclear, as the kids say. He was amazing. He was in a zone where nothing was going to stop him. He was not going to be denied. In a way, he had that "Mamba Mentality" going on. Only the greatest players have that. It's rare, really. After the game, he took us behind the scenes a bit on that mentality. It's a lot, too.

"Yeah, you know, Tim Grover talks about it all the time. He's like, you know, the great ones, the Kobe, the Jordans, they're always in the zone," Crosby said in the locker room. "I'm constantly searching, you know, to be in the zone at all times… So, yeah, you know, you're in the zone. It comes from preparation and just mental strength and mental, you know, fortitude to be consistent with everything you do in preparation leading up to it.

"So, yeah, you know, for me, the mental is just as important as the physical, and I, you know, believe, you know, I have room to grow in every way, and that's what I'm searching for every day, no matter the result. But at the end of the day, you have to show up the next day and improve. So that's why that's my approach every day."

We have seen this from him up close and personal every year now. He is a dog. He has that mentality that whatever he wants done, that's what will happen. The Raiders are lucky to have him. Crosby ended the game with a sack, seven tackles, and some energy that he brought every play. He is playing like a DPOY.

This is what the Raiders have been waiting for. Now that it's here let's hope they take advantage of this defense.
