The Las Vegas Raiders are now hopefully one loss closer to officially deciding they should chalk this season up and start tanking for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft if they haven't done that already. And, who knows, maybe they have. A loss to the Los Angeles Rams would certainly hint that they are.

They lost yet another game they should have won to a team that is easily beatable. On paper, the Raiders are the better team, even after factoring in the crazy amount of injuries that both teams have. But, the game is not played on paper, it's played on the field. Well, unless you're the Raiders and you just continually forget to show up like they have.

Because of injuries, being so depleted, and so many other things, the Rams were looked at as one of the worst teams in the league, just like the Carolina Panthers were, and yet they still beat the Raiders. So, does that make the Raiders the worst team in the league? They are certainly right there near the bottom, as they have moved from the 11th-best pick in the upcoming draft to now the 6th-best pick.

This is just another loss that has the fan base at a loss for words. The game was so dysfunctional, and Antonio Pierce's game management was just as bad. But, somehow, Maxx Crosby is indifferent about the loss and doesn't feel as bad as you would think a guy like him would feel after a game like this one.

“Overall I think we played our ass off. We’ve just got to get better as a team," Crosby said in the locker room after the game.

He didn't come off as mad as you maybe thought he would, especially hearing how he was after the last loss.

The Raiders are in a weird spot. If it were up to me, I'd say chalk up the season and get ready for the draft. Let guys like Crosby know what your plans are because you don't want him to be demanding a trade. Prepare to go get your QB of the future with Tom Brady evaluating it, and then start building a team made to play in the playoffs with teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.

With the injuries they have and the way the season has already been planned out, that would be their best bet.
