The Las Vegas Raiders had an injury to one of their best defenders off the field.

According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, cornerback Nate Hobbs didn't practice on Wednesday due to being hit in the face by a softball at his charity game.

On Saturday, we finally got an update on how the standout cornerback is doing.

McDaniels said that Hobbs is “doing fine" and that he should be back on the field soon.

Hobbs is one of the Raiders' best defensive players. Sure, that doesn't say a whole lot when you look at their roster and the names they have on that side of the ball; however, without him in their secondary last year, they have the worst unit in the NFL.

Missing him for an extended period of time would have hurt badly. Luckily, everything is fine, and the Raiders can soon start to build up that chemistry between him, Marcus Epps, and Marcus Peters.
