Things are starting to get dark in the league's most popular drama. There are a few players holding out of training camp, losing thousands of dollars in fines, but for a good reason – to get the money they deserve.
Josh Jacobs, the league's leading rusher in 2022, is one of them. He has yet to sign his franchise tag tender because he wants an extension for the long term. But now, after serious disputes, Jacobs is leaving town.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Jacobs was spotted Monday morning boarding a flight leaving Las Vegas. Jacobs won't report for training camp Tuesday and has told people close to him that he doesn't plan to return anytime soon.
It's starting to get real serious, and you could even say, a bit dark for Jacobs.
