The Baltimore Ravens‘ roster purge is complete. There’s been no shortage of competition for the Ravens’ initial 53-man roster, an impressive feat that serves as a testament to the depth and talent available to Baltimore in a season filled with high expectations. So who made the cut? Despite all of the talent, a few undrafted underdogs that have become darlings throughout camp have officially punched their ticket onto the active roster.

It’s time to meet the team. Here is the Baltimore Ravens’ initial 53-man roster for the 2025 NFL season.

Quarterback: 2

IN: Lamar Jackson, Cooper Rush

The Skinny: No surprises here for Baltimore. Lamar Jackson’s a force multiplier in every way and the team’s committed vision to a backup this year has been Cooper Rush from start to finish. With only Devin Leary contending for another roster spot, carrying two seemed like an open & shut proposition.

Running Back: 5

IN: Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell, Rasheen Ali, Patrick Ricard (FB)

The Skinny: John Harbaugh provided some clues throughout the preseason that Baltimore planning on carrying four running backs this season. He also seemed to suggest that Ali was a part of the plan. Edging out the likes of Myles Gaskin felt like a fairly confident projection, too. The best news for this group is that they’re explosive and they’re deep. The running game is in good hands, even in the event of an injury.

Wide Receiver: 6

IN: Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, DeAndre Hopkins, Tylan Wallace, Devontez Walker, LaJohntay Wester (R)

The Skinny: Wester’s spot is claimed in large part thanks to his profile as a punt returner, whereas the top trio is a loaded group that should give Baltimore more balance for week to week matchups when they want to spread opposing teams out. Tez Walker is a fascinating long-term play who has made a big leap that we may not see in 2025 thanks to the depth of the top of the room.

Tight End: 3

IN: Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, Charlie Kolar

The Skinny: This is the best tight end in football. Argue with a wall. The big win for Baltimore is that Likely avoided an IR to Return designation, which indicates he will be ready for play before the end of the first four weeks of the season.

Offensive Line: 9

IN: Ronnie Stanley, Andrew Vorhees, Tyler Linderbaum, Daniel Faalele, Roger Rosengarten, Joe Noteboom, Ben Cleveland, Carson Vinson (R), Corey Bullock
Non-Football Injury List Designation: Emery Jones Jr. (R – Shoulder)

The Skinny: It’s time to tip your cap to Corey Bullock for seizing the ninth and final spot on the 53-man. He beats out Nick Samac and 2025 seventh-round draft choice Garrett Dellinger to claim it — with an assist to Emery Jones Jr.’s ailing shoulder that has cost him the entire offseason program and training camp. The starting five are solidified and the positional flexibility of Joe Noteboom offers ample flexibility for Baltimore moving into the season.

Defensive Line: 5

IN: Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones, Broderick Washington Jr., John Jenkins, Aeneas Peebles (R)

The Skinny: The ONLY player I missed on my 53-man prediction from over the weekend was veteran Brent Urban — who is almost certainly a lock for one of Baltimore’s practice squad designations that will be finalized this week. The front three incumbents are no surprise, whereas Jenkins was added to serve as Michael Pierce’s replacement and Aeneas Peebles was drafted in this year’s class with a vision for developing into a disruptor in the passing game. The Urban practice squad element should give them flexibility.

EDGE Defender: 5

IN: Odafe Oweh, Kyle Van Noy, Tavius Robinson, Mike Green (R), David Ojabo
IR to Return Designation: Adisa Isaac (Elbow)

The Skinny: The Adisa Isaac injury left little imagination for this group. Ojabo sneaks onto the 53 ahead of Malik Hamm but the pecking order in front of him will be crowded. Oweh and Van Noy were sack monsters last season and rookie second-round draft choice Mike Green is a speed demon off the edge.

Linebacker: 5

IN: Roquan Smith, Trenton Simpson, Teddye Buchanan (R), Jake Hummel, Jay Higgins IV (R)

The Skinny: Jay Higgins IV played so well that Baltimore ultimately kept five stack linebackers. He’ll join special teamer Jake Hummel, fellow rookie Teddye Buchanan, new starter Trenton Simpson and star Roquan Smith to fill out a deep group of linebackers that balances high ceilings, dynamic athletes, and high football IQs.

Cornerback: 6

IN: Marlon Humphrey, Nate Wiggins, Jaire Alexander, Chidobe Awuzie, T.J. Tampa, Keyon Martin (R)
Injured Reserve: Robert Longerbeam (R), Bilhal Kone (R)

The Skinny: The cut of Jalyn Armour-Davis comes courtesy of the emergence of undrafted rookie Keyon Martin. He’s been tremendous in the preseason. Undeniable. And Baltimore deserves their flowers for acting accordingly. For a team that has a bunch of experience at corner but not a lot of long-term answers beyond Nate Wiggins, keeping Martin helps the bottom of the 53-man roster now but could give some much-needed long-term appeal to this room to look into the future beyond this year and potentially next.

Safety: 4

IN: Kyle Hamilton, Malaki Starks (R), Sanoussi Kane, Reuben Lowery (R)
PUP List Designation: Ar’Darius Washington (Achilles)

The Skinny: Speaking of undeniable rookies, Reuben Lowery was another rookie who simply played too well to cut. He pushes Beau Brade off the roster with a strong preseason. Sanoussi Kane successful slid up the depth chart amid Ar’Darius Washington’s spring Achilles injury, slotting as the third behind a first-round pick in this year’s draft and, for my money, the best safety in football.

Specialists: 3

IN: Tyler Loop (R), Jordan Stout, Nick Moore

The Skinny: The suspense for Loop’s bid to lock down the kicker job was gone by midway through training camp. Stability in the other two positions should have Baltimore thinking big with their special teams outlook in 2025. That is, of course, if Loop continues on his current trajectory.
