There aren’t many rookies who will willingly trash-talk the best players in this league. Then, there aren’t many who will tell that player that they don’t know who they are. The Jacksonville Jaguars have a dog in rookie running back LeQuint Allen, and he showed why he should be getting a few more snaps in 2025.

Jaguars rookie running back LeQuint Allen trash-talks Maxx Crosby

“Hey, strap that s*** up when you see me, baby,” Allen said to Crosby, initiating the trash talk.

Later, Allen went to block Crosby, and Crosby had had enough of the tactics. Crosby said, “I don’t even know who you are,” and Allen repeated it back to Crosby, as if he was acting like he didn’t know who Crosby was either. And that’s maybe the funniest part because everyone knows who Crosby is. However, not many, if any, are going to trash-talk the best defensive end in football, let alone start the trash talk.

“Obviously, you don’t know me. You know me today. You know me now, right?”

That was Allen basically the whole game. He was bringing energy to his team when they needed it most. And, it fired him and his team up. Obviously, Allen was drafted because of his success running and catching the ball in college at Syracuse. However, this is likely a reason he was drafted, too.

“I’m definitely going to make a huge impact,” Allen said during a pre-draft interview this offseason. “I’m capable of executing whatever my team needs from me. I can play at running back, receiver, and on special teams. I can help in every phase. I’m going to come in ready to be great. I’m always willing to put the work in. I welcome competition against anybody. I’m ready for this opportunity.”

He is definitely making an impact on the Jaguars, even if it isn’t going to pop out on the stat sheet. Allen is bringing energy to the Jaguars. The Jaguars are playing the Houston Texans next.
