Brandon Aiyuk's crazy catch off a Lions defender's helmet in 49ers win
FOX broadcast of NFC Championship

The Sacramento Kings were prepared for their matchup against the Detroit Lions. And so, when they were trying to think of a way to knock them off their game, they came up with the perfect solution.

As the Detroit Pistons lineup was announced, one video was replayed on the jumbotron.

In the NFC Championship, in which the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Lions, Brandon Aiyuk had a memorable catch. And that helped change the momentum of the game, eventually sending the 49ers to the Super Bowl.

The incredible catch occurred in the third quarter, with the 49ers trailing the Lions 24-10. Brock Purdy sent the ball deep for Aiyuk, but overthrew it and gave Lions cornerback Kindle Vildor a chance to intercept it.

However, the ball bounced off Vildor's hands and then went off his facemask, and Aiyuk was there to catch the ball. The receiver made a diving catch at the 4-yard line, and three plays later he located Aiyuk in the end zone to add an additional six points to the score board.

So not only did Detroit have to see this live, but then they had to relive it. And it was during an entirely different sport.

But you got to admit, it is pretty genius way to troll someone.

One thing is clear: San Francisco (and Sacramento) will never let Detroit live this catch and this game down.

Sorry to all the Lions and Pistons fans.
