The New Orleans Saints have disappointed this season – even atop the NFC South after ten games.

They're just 5-5 while playing the weakest schedule in the NFL. They've looked outmatched against teams with a winning record, and games against worse teams have not been particularly convincing. Saints GM Mickey Loomis challenged the Saints staff and roster earlier this week.

"So… the character of our team will be revealed over these next seven games."

— Loomis

That quote stands out from Loomis. He doesn't have in mind what this team went through last season due to injuries. He believes that they've pushed past that, and he knows it's a veteran group.

This season should have started differently in the first ten games based on the talent, but there's clearly issues going on that need to be fixed as soon as possible.

Loomis isn't just challenging them to win games. He is challenging them to play with a different fire that we haven't seen from New Orleans for most of this season. The Saints were built on energy and momentum during the Drew Brees era. That's been absent for some time now.

The Saints officially have some pressure on them via their general manager.

Will that change a single thing when it comes to their questionable decisions and inconsistency? Only time will tell.
