The New Orleans Saints bounced back in a big way in Week 5 against the New England Patriots.

New Orleans won by a score of 34-0, and they held their own in every facet of the game. Simply put, they embarrassed Bill Belichick and his team.

With the shutout, the Saints accomplished a feat for the first time of any team against New England since the Tom Brady era. The shutout was the first for the Patriots since October 2nd, 2016.

It's been quite awhile since 'DeflateGate.' That season was the last time that New England got shut out, though. Tom Brady didn't play in that game.

For the Saints, the defense was flying around with energy and created three massive turnovers. One was a pick-six from Tyrann Mathieu.

The Patriots recorded just eight first downs in the entire game. They had just 156 total yards on the day and benched QB Mac Jones amid the struggles.

If the Saints continue this play on defense, they are a very difficult team to beat.
