The New Orleans Saints are bringing back a familiar face. Amid a Michael Thomas injury situation, they added a proven target in their passing game.
According to multiple reports, veteran wide receiver Marquez Callaway is back with the Saints.
Callaway spent three seasons with New Orleans until he joined the Denver Broncos and Sean Payton in March after the Saints did not provide him a qualifying offer.
The addition of Callaway could cast a cloud over the knee injury for Michael Thomas. Dennis Allen said that his injury will force him to miss some time, and that length could be longer than shorter. Callaway knows the offense well and is a big target at WR.
During his previous time with the Saints, Callaway recorded 83 catches for 1,069 yards and seven touchdowns. 2021 was his most impressive campaign when he had 46 catches for 698 yards and six TDs.
He will most likely start on the practice squad but could be elevated for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
