Though there are several things the San Francisco 49ers are concerned about heading into NFL Draft week, hosting Super Bowl LX in 2026 is one of those concerns.

It was reported that San Francisco is planning to bid on the Super Bowl, and franchise CEO Jed York feels cautiously optimistic about the team's chances of landing the winning bid for 2026.

"I feel fairly confident," York said last month, via NBC Sports Bay Area. "I don't know for sure we're going to get Super Bowl 60, but I feel very confident we're going to get a Super Bowl in the near future. And it would be great to get Super Bowl LX after hosting Super Bowl 50. It feels like Super Bowl 50 wasn't that long ago."

The last Super Bowl the 49ers hosted was Super Bowl 50 in 2016.

That matchup was when the Carolina Panthers took on the Denver Broncos and Denver came out on top, ending a historic season for the Panthers, who at times looked unbeatable.

York is itching to host another one of the sport's preeminent events.

Alongside him in bids for the first Super Bowls in the 60s is the LA Rams, who want to place a bid on Super Bowl LXI in 2027. The current lineup for Super Bowls is the following: Las Vegas will host Super Bowl LVIII in 2024. and New Orleans will host Super Bowl LIX 2025.

We will see if the 49ers get a chance to host the historic game again.
