After some concern on Thursday when he missed practice, Nick Bosa will play his second successive game and make his South Florida homecoming in the San Francisco 49ers' Week 16 game with the Miami Dolphins.
Bosa, a native of Fort Lauderdale, FL, has only once played at Hard Rock Stadium in his career.
That appearance came in the agonizing Super Bowl 54 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs at the end of the 2019 season, his rookie year in the NFL.
Bosa will now have the chance to enjoy better fortune this time around after he was cleared to play in his home state, despite clearly still being hampered somewhat by the hip and oblique injuries that kept him out of three games prior to last week's defeat to the Los Angeles Rams.
Linebacker Dre Greenlaw will make his second straight appearance after making his long-awaited return from his Super Bowl 58 Achilles injury in the loss to the Rams.
Defensive end Robert Beal Jr. is among the 49ers' inactives after he was added to the injury report on Friday with an ankle injury. Alex Barrett, elevated from the practice squad on Saturday, will play in his stead.
Running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn was also elevated from the practice squad, but Israel Abanikanda, claimed off waivers from the New York Jets, after Christian McCaffrey's season-ending injury, will make his 49er debut. He had been inactive for the last two games.
Patrick Taylor Jr. is expected to lead the 49er backfield with rookie Isaac Guerendo out with a hamstring injury.
Also making his debut for the Niners is recently signed offensive lineman Austen Pleasants.
49ers inactives
- QB Joshua Dobbs
- LT Trent Williams
- RB Isaac Guerendo
- TE Jake Tonges

- CB Rock Ya-Sin
