The San Francisco 49ers' interior defensive line has dealt with a lot of injuries this season.
As a position group it has been in flux since the 49ers lost Javon Hargrave for the season to a triceps injury in Week 3.
But the 49ers will be at full strength, save for Hargrave's absence, on the interior defensive line for the first time in several weeks in the Super Bowl rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs.
In addition to confirming the anticipated debut of rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall 50 days on from being shot in an attempted armed robbery, the 49ers' inactives list also revealed that defensive tackle Kevin Givens will be available to play.
Givens had been listed as questionable with a groin injury. He missed practice on Thursday but returned on Friday.
Maliek Collins and Jordan Elliott, who had missed the last two games with a knee injury, will likely start at defensive tackle, with the presence of Givens and Kalia Davis giving the 49ers depth on the interior that could be key in slowing the Chiefs ground game, which will likely focus a lot of its energy on runs up the middle.
Cornerback Darrell Luter Jr, who was listed as questionable with a pelvis injury, is inactive and will miss out. With former Chief Charvarius Ward returning from a knee injury, Luter likely would have been inactive regardless.
49ers inactives
- WR Jauan Jennings
- TE Brayden Willis
- K Jake Moody
- OL Ben Bartch
- LB Jalen Graham
- CB Darrell Luter Jr.
- QB Joshua Dobbs
For the Chiefs, wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster, who was questionable with a hamstring injury, is active.
